Whether you are a gamer or not, PUBG MOBILE has surely become part of your life in some way or the other and is one of the most popular topics of discussion everywhere. The free-to-play battle royale game on smartphones and tablets has been one of the most popular game ever to hit the digital platforms in recent history. However, the aggressive nature of the game has drawn a lot of attention from the disciplinary authorities, with several institutions going ahead to ban the usage at several places. And now, a government notice has been regulated wildly on the social media, informing about an official ban in the state of Maharashtra.
A high court order is being circulated widely on Facebook and WhatsApp, stating the ban of PUBG MOBILE in the state of Maharashtra. The notice mentions that PUBG MOBILE has been creating a lot of nuisance, leading students to “spoil their own lives.” Hence, the government of Maharashtra will ban the game in the state legally. The notice also states that the High Court judge has sent official notices to the publisher Tencent Games for blocking the game’s traffic from the state of Maharashtra.
If you have encountered the notice before and are worried about your short PUBG sessions through the day with your friends, then you will be happy to know that the notice is fake. The notice contains a lot of grammatically wrong sentences as well as goes on to state completely incorrect information. Official notices issued from the High Court don’t follow the format shown here. As Gadgets 360 states, there’s no official member in the Indian Judiciary going by the name of K. Srinivasulu. Additionally, the post of “prejudge” doesn’t exist in our country’s judiciary system.
While Tencent Games is yet to issue an official statement, several other sources, including an e-sports organiser confirms to Gadgets 360 that the game hasn’t been banned in Maharashtra. The game is a massive crowd puller at e-sports events and will continue to be a vital part in 2019 as well. The source of the fake notice hasn’t been found yet.
However, PUBG MOBILE has been drawing attention from various authorities and has even been banned by Vellore Institute of Technology inside the campus. The game is increasingly flagged for promoting violence among children as well as youngsters.
Despite that, PUBG MOBILE’s popularity has been increasing at a drastic rate. The company recently announced that PUBG MOBILE entertains up to an average of 30 million players daily on its servers. The game was also awarded as the most popular game on the Google PlayStore this year. It was also chosen by the jury as the best game on Android in 2018. The game recently got its winter update, including a brand new snow map as well as new Seasons pass for players to celebrate the festive season.
